LRIGHT ENGLISH is serious about decreasing the divide of English education. The reason for that is that the divide of education can lead to a social disparity in the future.

 

English education in Japan starts from Elementary school. Students study English for almost ten years until they graduate from high school. Many schools require students of English ability in their entrance examination.

 

However, schools have other academic subjects in addition to English. Students spend school life studying Math, Science, History and so on. If parents are fluent in English, their children can learn English at home. That is not always possible in some households. 

 

Many kids and juveniles learn English in prep school. About 20 percent of children study English as an after-school activity. Considering the importance of English, some families have their children study English.

学校は英語塾ではないので英語ばかりに時間を使うわけにはいきません。

 

 

 

 

家で親が英語を話せれば良いのかもしれませんが、どの家庭でも親と英会話ができるかと言えばそんなことはないと思います。

そうなると英語学習、特にお子さんは英語塾、英会話スクールへ通うのが選択肢になります。実際には２割くらいのお子さんが英語を習っているとのアンケートもあるようです。
